Justin Wade Brent

Justin Wade Brent lost his battle with addiction and was called home to our Lord July 1st 2021 at the age of 41.

Justin (J.B.) was born December 11th, 1979 in Baton Rouge, LA to Larry Wade Brent and Janell  Blackard Brent. He is survived by three siblings, Lucas Brent, Rebecca Potts (Brenton Potts), and Sarah Lieux (Landon Lieux), the love of his life and mother of his children Tori Blanchard, three children, Alexie Blanchard, Caleb Brent, and Alaina Blanchard. Justin’s nieces and nephews include Jakeb Hoapili, Andrew Roussel, Samuel Brent, Lily Potts, Harlen Potts, Skylar Lieux, Logan Lieux, Jaiden Sullivan and Harleigh Holland.

Justin graduated from East Ascension High School in 1998. Throughout childhood (and adulthood), Justin had a love of Batman, Star Wars, Zelda, Ghostbusters and art. But most importantly, he loved spending his time with his children, nieces and nephews. Justin had a good heart. In the last few years, Justin has found Jesus and became a member of Christ Healing Community Church.

Visitation for Justin will be Sat. July 10, at Christ Healing Community Church from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  If you want to make Justin smile in Heaven please feel free to wear a Batman t-shirt if you have one. There will be a memorial at the church on the following day Sunday July 11.  Service on Sunday will be at 10:00 am and memorial to follow.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at the following link to Christ Healing Community Church:
