Olivia Gregoire Vicknair

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021, surrounded by her loving children. She was 73 and a resident of Whitehall, La. Her loving, nurturing ways lead her to become a caregiver to many – always putting others before herself. She had a fun-loving, spunky personality with a laugh and smile that always lit-up a room. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild were her most treasured possessions. She was larger than life and will be missed by many.

She is survived by 2 sons, Timothy “Timmy” and wife Dana Vicknair, Kevin Vicknair; 2 daughters, Lynelle and husband Joe Marchand, & Leslie Bercegeay; 8 grandchildren, Trent and wife Chelsea Vicknair, Leia Vicknair, Logan and Londen Marchand, Slade, Sloane, and Saige Bercegeay, Lawson Vicknair; great-grandson, Cole Vicknair; 3 sisters, Juanita “Nita Ann” (Victor) Crystal, Cheryl (Murphy) Falcon and Mechelle Freytag; 2 brothers, Anthony (Cherri) Gregoire, and James Phillip Gregoire.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Charles G. Vicknair; parents, Joseph and Mary Juanita Langdon Gregoire; brother, Michael Gregoire.

Visitation at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Whitehall, on Thursday July 1, 2021 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Jason Palermo. Interment at La. National Cemetery. Pallbearer will be Trent Vicknair. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan and Londen Marchand, Slade Bercegeay, and Lawson Vicknair. The family would like to thank the Our Lady of the Lake – Ascension Hospital ICU doctors, nurses and staff for the excellent care they provided during her time there.
