Doris Mullins Johnson of Bremond, Texas passed away peacefully on June 18, 2021 at the age of 78 years old. She was born to James R. and Pearlie Mullins on March 20, 1943. She attended Bremond High School where she was a cheerleader and member of the pep squad. After school, she married and lived in Vidor, Texas for 17 years before relocating to Baton Rouge, Louisiana with her family.

 

Doris worked as an Aesthetician for over 30 years and enjoyed helping ladies look and feel their best. She taught countless children in Sunday school, youth program, children’s choir, and played the piano and organ for church services. She loved creating beautiful gardens and cooking. She was beloved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be forever loved and missed.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Johnson, sisters Maureen Mays, Rae Young, Ruth Brown, Eugenia Springer, brothers James and Artie Joe Mullins.

 

She is survived by her children Cheryl Bruno, Lori Maddox, Marsha and son in law Aaron Bond; grandchildren Jacob Maness, Jessica and Anthony Bruno, Isabel Bond, Jordan and Jenna Bond; great grandchildren Victor Duran and David Campuzano, Braeleigh Laurent and Easton Bond; brothers Leo and Tommy Mullins.

 

A memorial service will be held 4p on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Southside Baptist Church in Denham Springs. Private graveside services will be held in Bremond, Texas at a later date.
