Joel Andrew Harrell was born in Alexandria, LA on July 10, 1957 and passed from this life unexpectedly on Friday May 7, 2021 at the age of 63 years in Europa, MS.
He was a graduate of LSU with a degree in Landscape Architecture and served with the U S Air Force as a Certified Cartographer. He was an avid fan of LSU Sports and New Orleans Saints Football. He enjoyed motorcycle rides with his brothers, drawing, watercolor painting, and especially hanging out with his grandchildren.
Joel is preceded in death by his father James Harrell Sr. and brother Jeffrey Harrell.
He is survived by his wife Margaret S. Harrell, mother Joann Harrell, siblings Jim (Louise) Harrell, John (Gisele) Harrell, Amy Wilson, and Angela Pruett; daughter Stacey (Jarred) Frosch; grandchildren Daylen Welch, Jacob and Isabella Frosch, Landon Ellis, and Aidan Grout; extended family: DJ and Tammy Welch (children: Brennan and Landon) and Steven and Senica Ellis (daughter: Allison). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, plant a tree in his memory or send garden plants so that we can plant a garden in honor of his life and memory.
A private family memorial service will be held.
