Eugene Paul Marchand

Eugene Paul Marchand, a native and resident of Geismar, LA, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, at the age of 72. His family and friends knew him as Blou! He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed antique collecting, gardening, music and art. Blou was a great cook and candy maker. He loved to be in nature and saw the beauty in everything! 

Eugene is survived by his daughters: Michelle Chacon and husband Fernando, Dawnne Nance and husband Rob, Alise Marchand and Megan Guillot; grandchildren: Brandi Pourciau and husband Jacob, Brian Banta and wife Margaret, Alexis Marchand, Zachary Nance, Kierstyn Nance, Ezekiel Nance, Adrienne Nance, Tandem LeBlanc, and Hezekiah Guillot; great grandchildren: Brantly Pourciau, Bryce Pourciau, Alayden Rantis; sister: Margaret Santolucito; brothers: Claude Marchand and wife Betty, Tommy Marchand and wife Monica; former spouse: Josie Falcon; godson: Byron Santolucito and wife Tina, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, multiple family members and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Martha Marchand; brothers: Denis and Terry Marchand; sisters, Marie and Linda Marchand; sisters in law: Joan and Karen Marchand, brother in law: Leon Santolucito, cousin and best friend Ralph “Bozo” Himel and his wife Cindy, as well as his first and former spouse: Linda Waller Mixon.

A private memorial service will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021, for the immediate family.  In lieu of flowers, we invite you to donate blood or plant something in your garden, in his honor. His daughters would like to express our gratitude to the people who donated blood on his behalf! Church Funeral Services entrusted with funeral arrangements.
