A devoted husband and loving father born in Duckroost, LA on September 19, 1933, died April 6, 2021 from complications of Alzheimer’s. He was one of 12 children from a very close and loving family. He was a gentle and kind man that lived a peaceful life. He was a lifetime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He retired from ORMET after 37 years of service. He was a man of many talents and had the patience of Job. He loved carving traditional folk art and ran a rod and real repair service out of his workshop where he enjoyed visiting with all who came by.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Donna Cambre Bourgeois; his 3 children, Dane Bourgeois (Donna) Dawn Bourgeois and Cyd Sonnier; his grandchildren, Chance Bourgeois (Kristen), Chade Mitchell (Keith),

Taylor Lattanzi (Katie), Ian Falcon (Jayna) Libby Falcon; great grandchildren Caleb, Chandler, Adrian, Kane & Will and sibling Doyle “Pomp” Bourgeois. He was preceded in death by his son Chad Adrian Bourgeois, parents, Joseph Maurice Bourgeois and Elizabeth Mire Bourgeois; siblings, Dorothy Kaiser, Donald “Dutch” Bourgeois, Damian Bourgeois, Cecilia Lambert, Kenneth Bourgeois, Barbara Schexnayder, Gabriel Bourgeois, Aelred “Buzzy” Bourgeois, Bridgette “Dut” Sheets and David Bourgeois. The family would like to thank the staff at Francois Bend. Special thanks to Nurse Niki with Amedisys Hospice. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday 11:00 AM, April 8th, 2021, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, followed by a Christian Burial in the church cemetery.
