Ashley Pomares Forbes

On February 6, 2021 at 5pm, Ashley Pomares Forbes, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, gained her wings at the young age of 46. She was born to Johnny and Josie Pomares and was raised in Baton Rouge. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and worked as an aesthetician for over a decade. She leaves behind her husband, Barry Forbes; 3 children, Masyn and Bella Winningham and Skylar Landry; mom, Josie Broussard; step-dad for over thirty five years, Layne Broussard; sister, Melissa Pomares Bahlinger; nieces, Brooke Pettit, Gracie Bahlinger; nephews, Blake Anderson, Peyton Bahlinger, Joshua Pomares and Jacob Pomares. Ashley would light up any room she entered. Her beautiful smile and bubbly personality made everyone she encountered feel so loved. She had a passion for working with women in addiction recovery. Having struggled through this battle herself, she tirelessly gave her time and heart to anyone that reached out for help. She would selflessly take on others’ needs before her own. Ashley was very active in the addiction recovery community and had just recently gone after her lifelong dream and opened up Women’s Sober Living Home in Baton Rouge. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. Ashley was a woman of God and her last act of selflessness was giving the gift of organ donation. May her gift live on in others. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 11th at The Church International; 13423 Hwy 431, St. Amant, LA 70774. Visitation will be from 9am-11am. Service starts at 11am. Arrangements with Church Funeral Services & Crematory, 225-644-9683
