A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Pierre Part, he passed away at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the age of 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Cherilyn (Landry) Bourgeois; daughter, Jaelyn Bourgeois; parents, Audron “Poochie” and Mary Jane (Diez) Bourgeois; siblings, Sonya Bourgeois, Audron Bourgeois, Jr., and Nick Bourgeois; mother in law Emelda (Domingue) Landry and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Marshall Bourgeois, Jr. and father in law Kirby Landry. Marshall was a commercial and industrial electrician. He loved helping Jaelyn clean her car and enjoyed spending time with his children and other family members – especially having family “jam sessions”. His love and devotion for his wife was unconditional. Another of his passions was music – all genres. He was talented enough to be able to learn how to play any musical instrument very well. During his musical career, Marshall was a bass guitarist for the NaNaSha and Tighten Up show and dance bands. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Highway 429, St. Amant, on 11:00am on Friday, January 22, 2021. Entombment will immediately follow in Holy Rosary Church Mausoleum. The family requests that due to Covid 19, people who attend the service please wear masks and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Arrangements with Church Funeral Services, St. Amant
