Cynthia “Cis” Lavigne

Cynthia “Cis” Lavigne entered God’s Kingdom on Thursday Jan 7, 2021.  Cis loved everyone, everyone loved Cis. When she entered a room, the room came to life.  Born Aug.10 1949, in Refugio, Texas. She moved to Gonzales, LA in the 9th grade where she met the love of her life, Samuel James Lavigne. Cis and Sam were in the first graduating class of East Ascension High School, 1967, and happily married,

for 52 years.  If you met Cis & Sam, you had friends forever. Cis leaves behind many special cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends to mourn her passing.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her loving parents Caleb ‘Jack’ Wiley and Viola “Vi” Johnson Wiley, beloved brother; Wayne ‘Skip’ Wiley and precious granddaughter; Gracie Anne Lavigne.

She will be sadly missed by her children and spouses: Jamie Lavigne & Babette, Brad Lavigne & Beth, and Allyson Wilson & Billy.  Brothers; Jeff Wiley & Linda, Joe Wiley & Laura; Sister, Lisa Sherman & Scott & close cousins; Bill Brandon & Tom Watson.

Her precious grandchildren; Alyssa & Jacob, Ema, Megan, Duncan, Hudson, Griffin, Canyon, Cade & Kassie, Chase & Alex, and Chelse. Great- grandchildren; Bryar, Jaxson, and Corbin.

Cynthia’s Facebook page will remain open. All are welcome to post memories and final words to her, which will be cherished by her family.  A special thank you to all the Healthcare workers who took special care of her.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cis’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
