Gary Cooper

Gary M. Cooper, 69, a native of Hodge, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 while surrounded by his family. He graduated from Northeast Louisiana University and then enlisted in the United States Army. He went on to graduate from LSU Law School. He served as a practicing attorney for 40 years, and was an avid deer hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adriel and Lula Mae Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Victoria Domiano Cooper; his children – Jennifer Anne Cooper and Brent Allen Cooper (Amanda), and their mother Celeste Ellender; his step-daughter Amber Holland (Brian); grandchildren – Leigha, Brunson, and Jackson Cooper; his step-grandchildren – Caleb Bickford, and Lucah and Abrie Holland; his sisters – Beth Cook (Bobby) of Baton Rouge, and Dianne Council (Ray) of Quitman; and brothers – Charles Cooper (Martiel), Dwight Cooper (Judy), and Donnie Cooper, all of Quitman, LA and Albert Stanley Cooper of Perth, Western Australia.

A visitation will be held from 10:00- 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the Healing Place Church Annex, 19202 Highland Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70809 with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am. In consideration of the current public health situation, we ask that guests please wear masks and respect social distancing requirements.

The family would like to thank his doctors, Baton Rouge General ICU, and all of his friends who have helped during this difficult time.
