George died at 12:01AM on Aug. 12,2020 at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, La. He was Just short of his 89th Birthday. George, grew up in Kentwood, La. Moved to Texas where he resided for 50 years. He returned home to Louisiana where he lived the past 21 months in Prairieville, La. George is survived by his three Daughters: Peggy and husband Dennis Day of Prairieville, La.; Patsy and husband Mike Whitehead of Kentwood La.; Eria Jean and husband Gary Parker of Franklinton, La.; One Stepdaughter: Pat and husband Merle Jones of Friendswood, Tx. One Sister Catherine Lou B. Wright of Viola, Tenn. Five Grandchildren; Daphne D. Sanders, D. Bradley Day, Amy D. Fontenot, Roger W. Temple, and Rebecca T. Simmons. 13, Great Grandchildren, Justin, Dustin, Brandy and Wesley Sanders, Kade Ducote, Gavin Fontenot, Brance Day, Brody, Hanna, Abby and Kaitlin Simmons, Jaden and Ethan Temple and 2 Step Grandchildren, Tiffany, and Jennifer. 2 Great- Great Grandchildren; Loralie Claire Sanders and Waylon Joseph Naquin. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. George Brooks was preceded in death by his wife, Calla Mae Brooks and x-wife, Margarite C. Brooks Fontenot mother of his three daughters. Stepson Sammy L. Barger. His parents George A. Brooks Sr. and Betty Hart Brooks. 5 Sisters Dorothy Brooks, Ann Reed, Mildred Easley, Beverly LeTard and Helen Sue Gates, Georges Twin. One brother Richard E. Brooks. The Family wishes to Thank all the Doctors and Nurses who aided in his Care. Special Thanks to Dr. Percle and the St. Joseph Hospice House.
