Jarrod Daniel Miller

In the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, August 8, 2020, on his way home from work, Jarrod Daniel Miller, nicknamed “Millz” by his friends, was snatched from this world at the age of 33 when an inattentive driver turned into the path of his motorcycle. His passing leaves his family broken and incomplete. His wife Ann and daughter Jupiter Damiana, 4, were the center of his world. They and his stepchildren, Hope Ramoin, Brandon Ramoin (wife Ashtyn) and Natalie Tullier will move forward knowing that they were loved unconditionally.

Joseph and Lisa Lonidier Miller discovered a love beyond compare when they welcomed Jarrod, their first-born and only son into this world on February 24, 1987. They, along with their daughter and Jarrod’s only sister, Brianna Miller-Jagneaux, her husband, Josh, and children, Aiden, Kamille, and Nolan now know a loss just as deep.

Conversations with Jarrod revealed a man who was intelligent, passionate, and idealistic. Those who had the privilege to know him intimately saw him as tenacious, a bit eccentric, generous to a fault, and a beautiful soul who shared intriguing thoughts and captivating ideas. There was a depth to him that could only be truly felt by kindred spirits.

He discovered tattooing ten years ago and has worked tirelessly to perfect his art ever since. In it, Jarrod found his passion; a calling in which he combined his empathy and compassion for the brokenhearted with a listening heart and a counselor’s intuition. He heard every word and felt every emotion his clients shared and even those they couldn’t and translated their pain and sorrow into beautiful works of art for all the world to see.  He was a gifted artist – a storyteller extraordinaire; not with pen and paper, but whose medium was ink and skin. An almost spiritual experience for him, he permanently became a part of their life. Through his art, his legacy will live on.

In addition to his many, many friends Jarrod, a life-long resident of Gonzales, leaves behind his extended family: Aunts and Uncles – Michael Miller, Karen Lonidier Stewart, Curtis and Darlene Lonidier; Cousins – Josh Miller, Chelsea Stewart , Shelby Stewart-Theriot, her husband Kendall, Brennan and Bryce Lonidier and many other loved ones too numerous to mention. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Huey & Bernita Miller and Wilbert & Cleo Lonidier.
