Clyde Anthony Williams

Clyde Anthony Williams entered into rest on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. He was 62 years old. He was born January 28, 1958 to Edna Mae Williams and Maurice Robertson in St. Martinville, Louisiana. Clyde was a man of faith who desired to please the Lord and share Him with the ones he loved. He was educated in the St. Martin Parish School system. Creating culinary masterpieces was Clyde’s passion and he was well known for his skills as an outstanding creole chef. He was exceptionally talented at whipping up any dish or baked goods from scratch. Mr. Williams turned his love for cooking into a career as an offshore cook. He spent more than 25 years cooking on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Together, he and his wife started Master’s Touch Lawn Care, a business that served East Baton Rouge Parish and surrounding areas. Clyde had a servant’s heart and was always ready to help people in need, especially the elderly and children. He served with great compassion in any capacity needed, no matter how great or small. Next to cooking, serving children was one of his greatest joys. In addition to volunteering at local elementary schools, he served as a cook, custodian and groundskeeper at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church and Preschool. There, he was a favorite among the kids who affectionately called him Mr. C. However, his greatest source of fulfillment came from spending time with his two biggest fans: his grandsons Zai’lon and Kaiden. Clyde was also an avid animal lover and a veteran of the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 11 years, Rahshaneka Goodman Williams, one son, Nathaniel Montell Williams, one daughter, Ashley Terrail Valsin; two grandsons, Zai’lon and Kaiden Hansberry; three step-children Ron, Katelyn and Joseph Holmes; three sisters, Shirley Jones, Sybil Marie Williams, and Sharlene Williams; one brother, Milton Williams as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved daughter Shontrona Renee Williams and his older brother, Robert Williams.
