Steven Ray Campbell passed away at age 67 in his homeon Sunday, May 31, 2020, surrounded by his family andloved ones.Steve was a character who will not be forgotten by thosewho knew him. He shared his passion for music withmany people, and he was often too smart for his owngood. While always cracking a joke, he displayed hisgenerosity with animals as well as strangers. Throughouthis life he had many professions, but what he was mostproud of was his role with the emergency animaltransport business, particularly during Hurricane Gustavand the Gulf oil spill of 2010.Steve is survived by his two daughters Allison andMelissa Campbell of Denham Springs, Louisiana; twograndchildren Kaylin and James Campbell of DenhamSprings, Louisiana; sister Christy Campbell of Spring,Texas; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and, of course, hisdog Bijou. He was preceded in death by his son ColinCampbell of Denham Springs, Louisiana; parents Allie andChristine Campbell of Lake Charles, Louisiana; brotherWayne Campbell of Orlando, Florida; brother RonaldCampbell of Lafayette, Louisiana; and sister TerriCampbell Bailey of LeagueCity, Texas.A celebration of his life will be held on June 27 at 13813Ruth Ln., Denham Springs, Louisiana.
