This amazing lady, mother and grandmother went home to be with our heavenly father on March 31, 2020. Over the past year she fought for each breath so could have one more day to be with her family and friends. She was finally able to go peacefully surrounded by her daughter and two grandsons. She was truly a fighter, very strong and determined until the end. She is preceded in death by her parents, son and brother. She will be missed everyday of our lives. For she was our rock. We are so thankful for all she taught us, for her love, and teaching us to always hold our heads up and be proud. A special thank you to Bridgeway Hospice, for the wonderful care you gave her. Also to her closest friend, Sue Livingston, for your friendship meant a lot to her. She cherished the daily calls talking about everything in life. Thank you for being there for all of us. She truly loved her family and friends and will forever be missed. This is not goodbye, but see you again someday. Grief is like living two lives. One is where you “pretend” everything is alright, and the other is where your heart silently screams. We love you, Tracy, Hayden and Nicholas
Charlene, was a Special friend, to me.
Larry and I met her, threw, her, sister, Patsy Kirkes. And her father Lee Sweden. Her father, remarried, my Mother, Viola.
Which we would tell each other, this made us sisters.
Charlene left behind, several, nieces & nephews.
From, her siblings, Roy and Patsy.
Roy has passed.
But, Patsy , resides in Saint Amant, as I do.
Patsy & her sister, was close.
Patsy took care of her sister, Charlene, by taking her to her doctors appointments!
And picking up her medicines. Etc…Groceries.
And Charlenes’ grandchildren from school as needed, when sick.
Charlene simply adored her little family! She was a very sweet Mother & Grandmother.
