Long time Prairieville resident Bobby Lee Schneider Jr, 64, passed away in his home on February 4th, 2020. Bobby grew up in Bogalusa, LA., where his mother was a long member and advocate of the local Baptist church and his father was the coach of the high school football team.  As an adult Bobby moved to Ascension parish, worked at BASF and became secretary and treasurer of local workers union.  His improvements of the union and building their hall are some of the things Bobby was most proud of but he will be remembered mostly as being a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He loved watching Sci-fi movies and was often seen jamming out to Pink Floyd.  He liked to pop in on his grandchildren to spend hours watching tv, eating sweets and doing his famous Donald Duck impressions.  Bobby thought that life should be good and anything less was unacceptable. Bobby is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Shirl Benson; his children, Courtney Schneider, Scott Schneider, Bobby Schneider the 3rd, Rozie Ricca and her spouse Kory Ricca; his grandchildren, Stephen Schneider, Jeremey Schneider, Tucker Musso, Tanner Musso and Rayne Schneider; his great grandchild, Emery Schneider; his siblings, Jerry Schneider, Michael Schneider, Keith Schneider, Cindy Schneider and Rachael; his friend and former wife, Janet Schneider. He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Schneider Sr.; his mother, Velma Flowers Schneider; and his brothers, Chris Schneider, Ray Schneider and Mark Schneider.
