Margaret J. “Mog” Courtney Stewart

A ceremony celebrating the life of Margaret J. “Mog” Courtney Stewart will be 12 noon Friday at First United Pentecostal Church Albany, visitation will be Thursday 6 pm until 9 pm and will resume Friday at 9 am until time of the service. Interment will follow at Little River Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Mog was born on May 5, 1944 in Holden and passed from this life on December 3, 2019 at North Oaks Medical Center. She was a native and resident of Livingston Parish, a devoted homemaker and a member First United Pentecostal Church Albany. She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Leslie and Mabel Smith Courtney, sister Sylvia Powell, nephew Ricky Powell and brother in law Donnie Hickman; also preceded in death by her in-laws, Elton and Alice Stewart, Clifford Stewart (Chick), Mark Charles Jr., Elton Joseph Stewart (Joe), and Mark Charles Sr. She is survived by her husband of almost 48 years Rev. W. Ralph Stewart; son and daughter in law Jeffery and Datha Stewart, her pride and joy grandson Grayson Stewart; siblings Norma (James) Coleman, Caroline Hickman, Linda (Ray) Jenkins, and Rev. Leslie (Connie) Courtney Jr.; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
