A ceremony celebrating the life of Julia Faye Dyson will be held 11 am Saturday Nov 16, 2019 at Kingdom of God Church, 814 Union Ave Bogalusa; with visitation at 9 am. Pastor Kendon Grant will be officiating services. Ms. Julia was born on April 14, 1951 and gained her wings on November 4, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 68 years, 6 months and 21 days. She was the seventh child of eleven born to the union of the late Rosco and Odielee Brown Dyson. She attended Bogalusa High School and was the first class to be inaugurated to graduate in 1970; she obtained her master’s degree from Southern University class of 1974 in Special Education. She worked at various schools for thirty plus years, retiring from the Bogalusa City School System. She was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints. Ms. Julia leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughter Laquisha (Jonathan) Dyson; grandchildren Shakira (Rodney) Robertson, Jimia Morris, Laqurria Morris and Robert Dyson; great grandchildren Layla, Rodney III, and Elyah; siblings Williestine D. MaGee of Lawton, OK, Almaleon Lachery of Chicago, Robert (Vivian) Dyson of Bogalusa, Billy W. Dyson of Lawton, OK, and Jerry W. Dyson of New Orleans, son-in-law Jimmy Morris; a daughter she reared Carolyn (Douglas) Morris  of Bogalusa; special friends Nicole Jefferson and Mary McCloud; also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by siblings Ollie Jean, MacArthur, Oliver Perry, Jimmy Ray, Vergie Lee Dyson and a special cousin Bernice Brown. Arrangements with Church Funeral Services, Baton Rouge.
