Audrey Millien Carbo

May 31, 1931 – October 26, 2019

Audrey M. Carbo, a native of Barton, Louisiana, and a resident of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, passed away at Chateau DVille Nursing Home in Donaldsonville on October 26, 2019, at the age of 88.

Audrey was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who treated everyone with such love: she never met a stranger.  To know her was to love her.  Over the years, she worked in the customer service and sales fields.  She loved serving people and, for several years, she worked at a home for special needs adults, teaching them life skills and encouraging them. The residents called her Mom and she loved it and them.  Later in life, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She looked forward to her twice a day visits from her sister (who was her best friend) and her brother-in-law.  She loved when her younger brother and his wife visited from Texas.  She also loved unannounced visitors who stopped by when she was rocking on her front porch-which was her favorite spot.

Audrey is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law—Dianne and Paul Rousseau and Mona and Gary Falcon and her daughter-in-law, Mary Macaluso Carbo.  She is survived by ten grandchildren—Renee Carbo Meyers and husband, Caleb Meyers; Kevin Carbo and wife, Tara Sunde Carbo; Mindy Tatman Rousseau; Marcie Rousseau Madere; Michelle Rousseau Thibodeaux and husband, Brett Thibodeaux; Mia Rousseau Clement and husband, Justin Clement; Megan P. Rousseau; Paul “Sam” Rousseau; Brandy Falcon Villavaso; Amanda Falcon Landry and husband, Dwayne Landry. She was blessed with sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Oneal Millien, and his wife, Mary White Millien, her sister-in-law, Virgis Templet Millien, and her brother-in-law, Thomas Cavalier.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Oneal Millien, Sr., and Madora Hernandez Millien; her brother, Allen P. Millien, her sister, Georgiana Millien Cavalier, her son, Keith M. Carbo, and her grandson, Gary “Lil Coon” Falcon.

Her family extends a special thanks to the staff of Chateau DVille Nursing Home and Comfort Care Hospice for their love, compassion, tender care and support of their Precious Granny in her time of need.  Your support of the family is very much appreciated.  Thanks to Pastor Brad Collins and members of Community Worship Center for all their prayers and support. Thanks also to Fr. Matt Dupre for his prayers and support.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2019, at Community Worship Center, 6688 Hwy. 70, Belle Rose, Louisiana,70341, beginning at 8 a.m. for family, continuing from 9-11 a.m. with service at 11 a.m.  Interment will be held at a later date.
