Mrs. Becnel was born on December 30, 1931 to the union of Pearl and Hazel Caldwell Short in Saylor, KY and passed from this life on Sunday October 20, 2019 at her residence. She was a resident of Prairieville and a member of the Baptist Faith. She had a passion for crafting, especially sewing and painting. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannette Carol Wallace; grandsons Joshua Wallace and Benjamin Guitreau; husbands, Leroy Wallace and Yves Becnel; her parents and siblings. Survivors include her children, Sandra McFerren (Huey), Rev. Richard P. Wallace (Beverly) and Darrell D. Wallace; siblings, Delores, Mary, Ruth, Nena, Floyd, Pearl Jr, Everett and Graylen; grandchildren, April, Brandy, Rebecca and Misty; great grandchildren, Ethan, Bridget, Lane, Jalie, Nathan and Daynie; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
