Cary David Walker

Cary David Walker will be laid to rest Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM in the Broadmoor Methodist Church sanctuary, 10230 Mollylea Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70815, with service there to begin at 1:00 PM. Procession to Greenoaks Memorial Park at 9595 Florida Blvd in Baton Rouge will immediately follow. Cary was born August 28, 1979, and died September 30, 2019, at the age of 40. He attended McKinley High School where he played football and the cello. He grew up being involved in boy scouts, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed being outdoors on the water. He learned the plumbing trade from his father and was a licensed journeyman. Cary had a love of music and enjoyed playing the guitar, bass guitar, and drums. He is survived by his parents, David Walker, Pattie Arnold, and stepfather, Charles Arnold. A sister, Janelle Walker Haynsworth and brother-in-law, James Haynsworth. Grandparents, M.E. “Pete” Meliet, George Ard and Sara Ard. Cary also had uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He was preceeded in death by his grandmother, Irene Meliet.
