Johnny Ruth Lafort

Johnny Ruth LaFort was born on April 18, 1952 in Lafayette and departed from this life on Tuesday September 17, 2019 at Ochsner Foundation Medical Center at the age of 67. She was a resident of Cut Off, LA; she enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a hard-working lady that was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys Gerard Lovette; siblings, Eugene Lovette, Ida Crosby, and Nora Mitchell; daughter in law, Kristin LaFort. Survivors include her husband, Willie LaFort; children, Michelle Parks, Rebecca Ryan and husband Clifford, and Todd LaFort; siblings, Charlie Lovette, Barbara Brunet, Hazel Lewis and Joelene Scott; grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Chandler, Hunter, Ian, Aidan, Trey and Carson.
