Jeremy David Thornton

Jeremy David Thornton passed away at his home in New Orleans on July 7, 2019 at the age of 41. Born on April 17, 1978 in Syracuse, New York, he lived the last 20 years in Raleigh, NC, and recently moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the son of Lori Caffrey of Cicero, NY and John Thornton Sr. of Youngsville, NC. He is the stepson of Norman Caffrey and Lani Thornton.  He is survived by his daughter Violet, brothers Jay, Kevin and John, sisters Susan and Sharon, aunts Dori and Donna, and cousins Philip, Donald, Mary, Karen and Kristin.  Jeremy was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Lily.  Jeremy graduated from Liverpool High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed by Cochon in New Orleans. Jeremy was a quick witted, generous, funny and friendly man who was always happy to help someone in need.  His hobbies included fishing, hiking, drawing, painting, comic books, and gardening.  He was an avid gnome enthusiast, animal lover, expert at catching frogs, and a true master of finding four leaf clovers.  He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  A celebration of life will be held at Williams Beach on Lakeshore Rd in Cicero, NY on Sunday, September 8 from 12-5.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to AFSP.org. ?
