A native of Moulton, Alabama & a resident of Gonzales. David L. Nolen, received his wings on Thursday, July 18, 2019. David was 47 years old. David is survived by his 3 beloved children Breana Nolen, Caleb Nolen, Jacob Nolen and their mother. His only grandchild who he loved unconditionally and referred to as “Pawpaw’s Baby”, Luna Schexnayder. Mother & Stepfather; Deborah & Butch James. Siblings; Robbie Veillon & husband, Shanon, Skye James, Brandon Nolen & wife, Darlene, Jared Nolen & wife, Antoinette, Josh Nolen & wife, April, Raney & Krystal James. Lots of nieces and nephews who he loved. Proceeded in Death by his father “Buddy” Herman Lee Nolen, grandparents; Addie & Theo Nolen, Roy “PaPa” & Betty “Ninny” Venable. David loved his job as a maintenance man. He always has a little knowledge of everything, and that’s why we always called him a Jack of All Trades. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Always pesking his fishing buddy, Breana, to go every day. He loved to go to the Casino, since he was the “lucky one”. One of the things he loved most was taking care of others. Raven would call him about a noise her car was making and he would take off walking if he had to, just to make sure she was okay. Daily talks with his Momma were always a necessity. Peyton will always remember morning hunting shows with her Uncle Day. David’s famous quotes like, “You’ll never know what you walk on in life,” will always stay with each of us. All of his stories were unforgettable and something we will pass on to our kids. Codie won’t forget those midnight Bankhead rides with his Uncle. Going back home to Alabama and sitting on his Mommas porch was something he had to do as much as he could. Everyone is going to miss his national “Good Morning” text messages and weekly dinner dates to Taco Bell. David has made a huge impact on everyone’s life. We will love and miss him dearly. A gathering celebrating David’s life will be held Sunday July 21, 2019 at The Venue, 13475 Highway 431, St. Amant, Suite H, 1:00pm until 3:00pm. Arrangements with Church Funeral Services and Crematory
