Wilbert A. “Will” Saucier

A graveside service with Military Honors for Wilbert A. “Will” Saucier will be 2:30 pm Wednesday at Louisiana National Cemetery. Mr. Saucier was born on August 26, 1925 and passed from this life on June 27, 2019 at Baton Rouge Medical Center Bluebonnet Campus at the age of 93 years. He was a resident of Baton Rouge, retired security guard with Baton Rouge Parish School Board; and a member of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed golf, old music, dancing and cooking; and especially enjoyed getting to visit with friend and family that spoke Cajun French with him. He was an avid fan of wrestling and had a passion for his family. He served with the United States Army during WWII, with 20 months being served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater of Operations. He is preceded in death by his wife Ethel; parents and two sisters. Survivors include his daughters Brenda Freeman (Louis) and Cindy Saucier; grandsons Louis Freeman Jr., and Joseph “Joe” Saucier; great granddaughter Morgan, great great grandson Isaiah.
