praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Joyce Lea LeCoq, 77, was a native of Pine Grove and resident of Baton Rouge. She fought a courageous battle with a terrible disease, West Nile Virus. She passed away on October 12, 2018 at 9:45 PM, surrounded by her family, she received the ultimate healing by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying, or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

Joyce was married to the love of her life, Francis Leroy LeCoq for 57 years. He entered eternal life on October 17, 2016 and now they are reunited for all eternity. Joyce worked as a telephone operator at South Central Bell for 36 years, and her love for talking on the telephone did not end there. This was one of her great qualities, calling her family and friends. Keeping in close contact with those she loved. You could always count on her to be present. She loved others in very active and tangible ways. She was known for her delicious cooking, servants’ heart and infectious laugh. Joyce will be remembered as a loving mother, joyful grandmother, selfless friend, and someone who always had a smile even when times were tough. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were truly her whole world. She lived life to the fullest.

Visitation will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, 14512 Greenwell Springs Road, Greenwell Springs, La 70739 on Sunday October 21, 2018 from 2pm-7pm and will resume on Monday October 22, 2018 from 9:00am until celebration of life service at 11:00am, conducted by Bro. Jeremy Pruitt. Interment will be at Sand Hill Cemetery in Walker, LA. She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Terri and Craig Pourciau, Shannon and Brian Guidry; Son and daughter in law Duane and Leonore LeCoq; brother Dennis R. Lea; grandchildren Jacob Pourciau and wife Brandi, Jessica Taylor and husband Brad, Jenna Pourciau, Joseph Pourciau, Abby Guidry, Annie Guidry, Ella Guidry, Ashley LeCoq, Nicole LeCoq,

Madison LeCoq, Katelynn LeCoq, great grandchildren Brantly and Bryce Pourciau, Rylie and Sadie Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard B. Lea, Sr. and Ollie Raborn Lea and brothers, Richard B. Lea, Jr. and Dewitt “Bo” Lea. Pallbearers will be Jacob Pourciau, Brad Taylor, Kevin Lea, Michael Lea, Steven Lea, and Philip LeCoq; Honorary Pallbearer will be Joseph Pourciau
