Corey Milton Cleveland

Though temptations great I will fear no evil. Though trails hard I will try to understand. For Jesus said “I will never leave you or forsake you. Just reach out and hold my faithful hand”. Corey passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. He was 50 years old. Corey was fun loving, good hearted and shared his infectious laugh with everyone he met. He loved hard work and would help anyone who needed him. He had a compassionate heart for animals. To his family, he was a true gift from God. Corey is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Laura Fabre Cleveland, son Caleb Cleveland, and stepson Cody Keene. He is also survived by his sisters, Kim Populus (Darryl) and Deborah Fritchie, sister in law Angie Frey (Greg) and brother in law John Fabre (Carol). Corey is also survived by his special fur buddy and right-hand man, Jax Cleveland as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Corey is preceded in death by his mother, Irma Simon Cleveland, his father Milton Cleveland, his maternal grandmother Mae Simon, maternal grandfather, Wallace Simon, paternal grandmother Norma Delatte, paternal grandfather, Melvin Cleveland, a sister, Jennifer Cusimano and brother Steven Owens. Also preceded in death was sister in law Cindy Fabre, brother in law, David Fritchie and brother in law Robert Cusimano. Memorial service to be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Amite Baptist Church, 7100 Amite Church Rd., Denham Springs, LA. 70706 with visitation from 10:00 am-12:00 pm and service at 12:00 conducted by Pastor Cody Bradley.
