Dr. Leo A. Farmer, Sr.

Retired surgeon Leo A. Farmer, Sr. died on Monday, August 20, 2018. He was born in Braxton, MS., graduated from McComb High School, Millsaps College, and the University of MS Medical School. He did his internship and residency at the University of MS Medical Center and began his surgical practice in Baton Rouge in 1968. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lynn; son, Leo A. (Alex) Farmer, Jr. and wife Victoria; daughter, Lillian Lynn Farmer; twin grandchildren, Sara Lynn and Seth Alexander Moreau and their father Gerald (Jerry) W. Moreau; nieces and nephews, Tony and Lena Blakeney, Bill and Paula Wycuff, Webb Bufkin, Keith and Celia Barrett, Bryan Barrett and Steven Barrett. He is preceded in death by his infant son, Christopher Edward; parents, Isaac Alexander Farmer and Alma Farmer Davis; and brother, John David. The family would like to thank Stephen Hebert, RN, and Leon Dunn, Chaplain with LA Hospice and Palliative Care, and personal caregiver, Brittany Brown.
