Louis “Lou” Henslie Faxon, Iii

Louis H. Faxon III (59) of Gonzales passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2018, after a long battle with chronic lung disease. A native of Baton Rouge, Lou graduated from Lee High School in 1976. He worked as a Senior Pipe Designer for many years, mentoring many and earning his reputation as hard-working and dedicated. He was a friend to many, had an incredible sense of humor, and was sure to always keep the room laughing. He raised his two children, teaching lots of life lessons and attending every school and sporting event. His life was marked by tenderness and compassion, even while battling his own health issues. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife, Michelle Fournet Faxon; son, Cameron Faxon; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and BJ Hill; stepmother, Patricia Faxon; stepbrother, Scott Angelico; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Jeff Throckmorton; stepson and daughter-in-law, Blake and Melanie Borskey; grandchildren: Isaiah, Malachi, Shelby, Cassie, Gracie, Ashley, Ellie, Sophie, Isabela, Amelia, and Ruby. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Faxon Jr.; his mother, Joline McMahon Faxon; and his lifelong second Mom, Elsie. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Gonzales on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Visitation with the family will start at 10:00am with a memorial service immediately following at 11:30am.
