Pamela Katherine Hubbell

Pamela Katherine Hubbell, 56, native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed Thursday July 19, 2018. She was born to the late Barbara Triche Hubbell and William Hubbell, following her brother Nelson, and sister Barbara. Pam graduated from University High School and was an alumnus of LSU. Pam had just attended mass and accepted communion at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church during the funeral of a dear neighbor. She drove home and collapsed of heart failure when she entered her home. God in his wisdom called her home early. She will be greatly missed by beloved family and friends, and always remembered for her charismatic personality, benevolent spirit, and zest for life. The kitchen is the heart of the home and Pam was the heart of the kitchen. As a young girl, Pam’s favorite experiences were in her grandmother’s kitchen learning and creating all those fantastic southern dishes that make south Louisiana famous for originating the best food in the world. As Pam grew older she realized her greatest life adventure would be to live and travel in the culinary industry. That was her path and she had a terrific adventure sharing her gift and passion for creating fine food and exceptional dining. As a Chef for some wonderful restaurants she traveled many places but eventually her southern roots pulled her back to Baton Rouge. Pam was respected by other culinary professionals for her mastery of French cuisine. She could make Lobster Bisque look as easy as toast. Whether in the commercial kitchen or with family and friends, Pam’s generosity inspired many. True to her southern heritage, Pam was in every way a Baton Rouge lady that knew some of the greatest joys in life are centered around great food, family and friends. She will be truly missed but always in our hearts. Pam will be buried with her family in Green Oaks Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held graveside sometime soon.
