Albert Stumpf “Al”

A native of Wilmington, DE and a resident of Gonzales LA, he passed away at 7:48am at his home on Sunday, March 4, 2018 due to pulmonary fibrosis. He was 72 years old, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and retired from Dupont Co. with 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Patricia Olinger Stumpf; daughter, Tara Stumpf of Lancaster PA; son, Phillip Todd Stumpf & wife Laura of Cleveland OH; step daughter, Shelley Ann Skal of Baton Rouge; step sons, Fred Skal, Jr. & wife Trisha of Spring Hill TN, and Shawn Skal of Baton Rouge; sister, Elaine Hoffman & husband Gene; grandchildren, Jessica Tims, Joshua Skal, Katelyn Skal, Lauren Skal, Brandan Garrido, Erika Pasqua, Devin Skal, and Ethan Skal; great grandchild, Lorelei Tims; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Edna Stumpf; brother, Walter Stumpf; sister, Edna May Dennis; and brother in law, Roland Dennis. He was active in the Chamber of Commerce and with other various community organizations. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge.
