Martin “Marty” Marland

A ceremony celebrating the life of Martin “Marty” Marland will be 11:00am Wednesday at The Church in St Amant; visitation will begin at 10:00am. Mr. Marland was born in Silvas, IL on September 6, 1935 and departed from this life on Sunday January 21, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital at 82 years of age. He was a resident of Prairieville; and served in the U S Air Force. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid fan of football and baseball especially watching his grandson’s games. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sydney and Helen Marland; a daughter, Cindy Marland; siblings, Elmer, Harry, Jesse, Richard and Gene Marland. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Beverly P. Marland; his children, Debbie Flannigan (Terry), Terry Muse (John), Robin Dobbs (Matt), Michael Marland (Debra), Becky Grade, Kim Tregre (Justin); his sister, Joyce Mepham; grandchildren, T. J., Shannon, Troy, Aaron, Brianna, Trinity, Jeremy, Zackary, Genna, Kerri, Terri, Michael, Blake and Braden; also survived by 23 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
