Heather Anne Holloway

Heather Anne Holloway, a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, LA, went to be with her Heavenly Father on the evening of Tuesday, February 6, 2018. She was only 45. She leaves behind people who are all in shock and disbelief that her young life was cut short so abruptly. Heather was born to two wonderful and proud parents in New Orleans, Louisiana where she spent most of her childhood years. She and her mother moved to LaPlace where Heather finished high school at East St. John High School. After graduating from high school, Heather moved with her mother to Baton Rouge. Heather decided she would embrace learning a trade and graduated from the prestigious Paul Mitchell School where she earned a degree in cosmetology. She later expanded her talents by also obtaining a degree in barbering. She was an expert at her trade and loved spreading beauty to her family, friends, neighbors and the entire community at large. Heather was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ferdie and Louise Block, her father John Holloway, her uncle Ferdie Block Jr., and her aunts Gail Anne Block and Carol Block. She has gone to meet her heavenly father and leaves behind her mother, Ms. Mathilde Rivera, two aunts, Jeanne Rachal of Portland Oregon, Raynon Serfaty of Dublin Ohio, one uncle, Gene Block of Shreveport. Also survived by numerous cousins and true friends, as well as her best friends for more than 25 years, Mr. Marcus Gould of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Rome Morales of New Orleans. Heather Anne Holloway was a true friend with a beautiful spirit and a heart of gold. The lives of the people she touched will never be the same. This earth was lucky to have her, even if for a short time. Rise up on the wings of Angels, my Darling, and fly!! This is not good bye forever, but merely a Ta-Ta for now as we will all be together again in the Kingdom of God! Prayers of comfort and Peace to all who knew this amazing woman. Heather will be cremated after a private family viewing. There will be a memorial service held in her honor on Feb 15th at Cypress Hall located at 17425 Airline Hwy, Prairieville, LA. Directly behind Frank’s Restaurant from 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. Friends are invited. Anyone who knew Heather knows how much she loved dogs. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Capital Area Animal Welfare Society (CAAWS.ORG) in her name. Arrangements by Church Funeral Services & Crematory, Baton Rouge 225-293-4174 www.churchfuneralservice.com
