William “Bill” Edgar Blakely Jr.: Sunrise 08/11/1932 – Sunset 10/18/2017. A Reflection of Life will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017, at 1:00 pm at House of Grace Ministries located at 8550 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, La., with a repast to immediately follow. Mr. William “Bill” Edgar Blakely Jr. Sunrise was on August 11, 1932, in Camden, New Jersey; and Sunset was on October 18, 2017, at his home in Baton Rouge, La. He was a retired Department of Navy Federal Worker and an Avid Track & Field fan who travelled to the Penn Relays every year from wherever he was. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Edgar Blakely Sr. and Edna Barnes Blakely; and his son, William “”Eddie”” Edgar Blakely III. He is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa Roche’ Blakely; his daughter, Jacqueline Faith Williams; son-in-law Mark Williams; stepdaughter, Shana Marcelin; and stepson, Elmo J. Peters III, his brother, Horace Steve Blakely; and a host of grandchildren: Christina, LaTrell, Kaynen, Clinton, Aureona, Alex, Keenan, Precious, Austin, Ryan, Tiana, Sakiri, Shianne, and Kasey.
